I now know why the name “Giant” was choosen… its big! Here both the Giant and Hero to compare:
Ich weiß jetzt, warum die Wahl auf den Namen “Giant” (also Riese) fiehl… er ist riesig! Hier ein Vergleichsbild mit meinem kleinen Hero:

My batt weights 60g (in comparison: my hero batts weight ca. 15-20g, so if you get more in your hero, you can get more on the giant too):
Im Endeffekt wiegt mein Batt 60g, aber ich reize das Fassungsvermögen auch nie komplett aus. (zum Vergleich: meine Batts auf dem Hero wiegen ca. 15-20g):
Conclusion:
At first I was really sceptical! Its big and only has this small tpi of 46, so normally I wouldn’t consider buying it (I really like fine wool). But… he is great! My little hero is sometime really hard to crank, so I have to use a lot of strength or really tiny chunks of fibers. The giant in this regard is a dream come true! It is so easy to crank, even with big chunks. He carded the coarse wool and fine merino without problem (but in my experience it is better to use big chunks with the fine merino).
It was a lot of fun to card with the giant! Thanks to the smooth cranking it was in the end more fun than carding on my hero. I can absolutly recommend it!
Fazit:
Ich muss sagen ich war skeptisch! Er ist riesig und die niedrige Benadelung von gerade 46tpi ist jetzt nichts, was ich mir wahrscheinlich gekauft hätte. Aaaaber… er ist toll! Während ich mit dem Hero manchmal zu kämpfen habe, dass ich ihn kaum drehen kann oder er sehr schwergängig ist, sobald meine Faserportion minimal zu viel wird, war das hier wirklich ein Traum! Große Faserstücke? Kein Problem! Er lässt sich ganz sanft und leicht drehen. Die feine Merino hat er genauso genommen wie die groben Fasern (solange ich von der Merino nicht zu kleine Stücke reingegeben habe).
Es hat wirklich Spaß gemacht! Durch dieses leichtgängige Kurbeln sogar noch mehr als mit dem Hero. Ich kann ihn daher nur empfehlen!
